Visit Potomac Overlook Regional Park and head into the nature center for a learning adventure. From the Kids’ Cave to the hands on exhibits, you and your kids will have a great time. Rainy day got you down? Too cold to brave the outdoors? Head on over to the nature center and explore the kids cave, learn about snakes, turtles, lizards, birds, bees, geology, and much more with hands on activities and live habitats. If you have a kid who enjoys science or is the kind of learner who understands concepts better when they see them in the real world, this place is worth the trip even if you can’t explore the outdoor areas. Be sure to make some notes so you can follow up on the things that interest your kids most- there is way more here than you can cover thoroughly in a single visit.
