Many thanks to JBF Prince William County for providing me with a presale pass to facilitate this review! I am so excited to be able to give you guys an inside scoop before the sale opens to the public!
What a great time I had shopping this sale! The selection was quite good in all clothing categories- Big boy clothes are notoriously sparse, but I came home with everything on my list. The toys were in pristine condition, and many were still in original packaging. There were a great many new in package items and clothes with the original tags still on, as well as some new unique and boutique items. We did a close survey of baby through Kindergarten clothes for boys and girls, and you could easily dress a child for fall for $25-$45. (As always, buy more, spend more, and if you need coats, boots, etc, you’ll spend a bit more.)
The selection of large toys, furniture, and equipment was high quality and reasonably priced- a new mom could easily have walked out of the sale with everything she needed for baby. (And I’m betting at least a few did! The expecting mom presale had begun by the time I checked out- it was very fun watching the parade of baby bellies on their way by!) The offering here is comparable to a boutique rather than a department store. By which I mean, they had a few very nice items in every category, but if you’re looking for a Wal-Mart size selection with three or four of everything under the sun, this is not the sale for you. (And, by the way, I was quite impressed with the fleet of pristine baby strollers on offer! These are not shabby buggies with all the shiny rubbed off- they are ready for someone to put in some serious miles!)
I can’t tell you with 100% certainty what you’ll find if you shop tomorrow because (wait for it, this is seriously the best part) they were still putting out more items when I left! I didn’t photograph the books (mostly $1-$2, including a copy of “The Rescuers,” which is apparently now a hard to find title. That one came home with me, but I’m sure there are other equally delightful finds waiting for you.) or the vendor tables- be sure to sign up for the door prize drawings and chat up the lovely Mamapreneurs running the displays!
This venue was perfect for this sale- the springy green sports surface on the floor minimized foot fatigue, and the quiet but efficient ventilation fans kept the air cool and moving so I didn’t overheat and get foggy headed. The racks are well spaced and there is plenty of space to browse at the tables.
After we checked out, the sale organizer, Pamela, recommended we try El Vaquero for dinner. Let me recommend that you make a stop here before you head home. The authentic Mexican food was amazing. Have the Buñuelos for dessert. (Oh. My. Goodness! YUM.)

Cash, visa, MC, and Discover are accepted. Strollers are allowed during the public sale. There is no convenience fee for credit cards and shoppers are welcome to bring their own bags/tubs etc. but loaners are available for your convenience.
