This shaded playground is located far enough from the street to help with supervision, but not so far that you won’t think it’s worth walking from the parking lot. (If you have toddlers, you’ll want a stroller to tote them and/or their stuff.) There is plenty of seating for caregivers. With nearby basketball and fitness trail equipment, this shady spot is a perfect place to cool off on sunny days. The small size of this playground may not offer infinite variety to thrill-seeking big kids, but it’s ideal for those who want to give little ones some freedom without being too far away.
There are a few open drop-offs to beware of, but no tight spaces that make supervision difficult, either from the ground or on the play structure itself. Don’t forget your bug repellent! Wooded locations are frequently insect friendly.
