First of all, I want to say that if you’ve never taken your kids to see the Groovy Nate show, you need to do that. You can usually find some of his upcoming dates on our calendar, or you can just visit his website for a full list. I’ve been taking my big guy since he was a baby in arms, and both my kids LOVE the show. With puppets, interactive original music, and themes including true beauty, sharing, reading books, and being true to yourself, there’s really nothing not to love. But, THERE’S MORE. Groovy Nate draws on his varied background to introduce multiple musical styles to our kids- from all over the world. As a longtime blues fan, I’m personally delighted that someone has introduced my 9 month old to John Lee Hooker- at his level. (Think you don’t know who John Lee Hooker is? Go watch The Blues Brothers. I’ll wait.)
What I’m saying here, is that this is not just a good time for you and your kids. It’s also an easy, fun way to provide an important part of their cultural education. Check it out, and LET THAT BOY BOOGIE WOOGIE. It’s in him, and it’s got to come out.
Now that we’ve got THAT covered, here’s what I want to tell you. Groovy Nate does birthday parties. Seriously. We’re talking about what is basically a private show, back stage pass, for your kid and his friends. You provide the location, and he provides the Boogie Woogie. Mention the Joy Troupe when you book a 45 minute or longer show for your party, and you’ll get 20% off. But wait, because once again, THERE’S MORE.
If you’re a blogger or one of our many, many area website owners extraordinaire taking advantage of Groovy Nate’s 20% discount, leave a positive comment about the show; and email the link of the write up to Groovy Nate, because you can get up to 40% off the next Groovy Nate party of 45 minutes or more. (Subject to availability, your location, must be on a website you own, or a site like Yelp or Angie’s List, and not a social media site, and all the usual etceteras, but trust me, it’s a good deal.)
